Malazan - Chain of Dogs

An illustration of the Chain of Dogs event from the fantasy book series Malazan book of the fallen. I really enjoyed this process. I started with a black and white sketch. Then I blocked it all out in simple shapes of colours. I then refined the colour shapes and eventyally drew lineart on top of the shapes. After that I finished with some ligth and shadow layers under the lineart
